Now you should have some ideas on what works and what does not work. Take the descriptions and titles from your pay-per-click-search-engine campaign and place them as classified ads in Newsletters and Ezines that are relevant for your industry and your target audience. i.e. Business Opportunity, Internet Business, Shopping Mall, Home Business etc, etc.

Why should you do that? Because it will get you targeted traffic. People that receive the newsletters do so, because they are interested in the information. If somebody is for example interested in cars, he will subscribe to a Newsletter about cars. Same goes with business opportunities etc.

If you now happen to sell something related to cars, your ad will be seen by people who are already interested in the subject. Makes sense that a high percentage will respond to your ads and buy your products.

Now, here is how you get this rolling:

First you start ads in 10 ezines. A very good resource is the EzineDirectory. They have a good investigated data base of Ezines:

You select 10 Ezines that fit into your target audience and place your ads and make sure that you track the results (Adtrackz

After the campaigns finished, you carefully select which Ezines work for you. You will now continue to post ads there. Then you replace the three worst performing Ezines with new ezines.

You keep on doing this until you have distilled a good working Ezine list.

If you get a good response, consider moving your ad to a more prominent sponsor (stand-alone) position. The top slot pulls best, but that also means you might be able to get a bargain on middle to bottom positioning.
 
Very good results are achieved if you place Solo-Mailings. In this case the publisher sends out your Ad to the entire subscriber base.

This works great for me, it will do the same for you.

If you are buying more than a single insertion (most people need to see ad an several times before responding), don't be afraid to negotiate the price. Most publishers will gladly give you a volume discount.

With your ads you should only try to direct the visitor to your web site or to your autoresponder. When the visitor then goes to your web site, try to educate him or her. Give them lots of information, before you finally offer your product or service.

If you are dropping cards on carparks then you will find that carparks where people work are best. This is because workers have money to spend and many are generally not happy in their job or looking for something else. Also drop them at train station carparks, hotels, motorway service stations etc.

 

If you work at it your self you can easily put 2000 Cards a week out. I would estimate that at least 200 to 400 people per 1000 would look at the site, of which that would result in 10 to 20 sales per week I.e. £1000 to £2000 per week on this single method of marketing alone!

 

And your costs are just for the cards! No delivery costs! So if you work on the figures of 2500 cards a week out. Over a month that would be 10,000 cards at £80 cost.

 

That would result in 2000 to 4000 minimum people looking at the site per 10,000 cards out ( I would imagine this would & could be much higher). Which should result in 100 to 200 sales of web sites. = an excellent income!

 

Now this does sound to good to be true, But what if it were true? You have to test it & work out  your sales ratio.

 

 

As you can see this is a full time income for doing nothing other than organising some card printing and the distribution of the cards!

 

 

And the figures quoted are realistic and achievable by anybody willing to work at it.

Another reason why cards work so well is because they are much handier than leaflets. People will put them in there pockets and look at them later.

 

It is a fact that there are now 12 Million + people on line at home now in the UK alone, so don't worry that you need your phone number on them, YOU DON'T!

 

 

If people are not on the net they will know some one who is. And they can easily get access via the local library or a internet cafe.

 

If there serious they will go out of there way to find out and satisfy there curiosity.
